Two Tonne Tasmania began in early 2013 when kind yields allowed young winemaker Ricky Evans to nudge into the tightly held Tamar Valley. An opportunity arose, he grasped it and TTT began, yes, with a couple of tonne of Pinot Noir. A simple and literal name, a reference and reminder of what they are all about; Small Parcels | Big Love.
The TTT style is purposeful, with the aim to facilitate a situation where intervention is not necessary. Ricky believes that with care and attention in the vineyard, and precise harvest decisions, they are most of the way to achieving the TTT style. The rest is nurturing.
